What converts

Headings become # lines, links become [text](url), lists use -, <pre> blocks become fenced code, and images become ![alt](src). The converter is the widely used open-source Turndown library.

Things Markdown cannot express — colours, layout <div>s, scripts — are dropped. Tables in HTML come through as plain text, so check them afterwards.
